Well today the weather has been WET in the extreme – I have been drenched through 3 seperate times today as my field jacket is shower proof but not waterproof!

Lou and I then had 2x 11/2 hour shifts in the field in the rain – in between we tried to dry out in front of the fire at the Love Cafe whilst eating a lovely brunch

I tried to look on the positive side in that it was an opportunity to witness how the elephants behaved in the rain which was ok until the 3rd shift when I was just happy to get back and change into some dry clothes 🙂
Sunny now – so let’s hope it stays that way for the rest of my stay!
It’s Thandi’s birthday tomorrow and she is having a party at 6.30am!! She has got a Zebra made of plants as apparently she loves to chase the Zebras
Joke of the day:
Q. There were two elephants under one umbrella, why didn’t they get wet?
A. It wasn’t raining.
Well it certainly was today!!
You look absolutely spiffing in your wet weather gear 😉

Believe me it was not ‘wet weather gear’ as I got wet through – only the bottom half was dry as Sarah kindly lent me her spare pair of waterproof trousers !
